xoxo, Vicky O is a pole performer and instructor based in Austin, Texas. She began her pole journey after watching the β€œDangerous” pole routine at the Cirque du Soleil Michael Jackson Immortal Tour. Years later, she herself has had the amazing opportunity to perform in multiple pole competitions and showcases. What started out as a fun substitute for traditional workouts quickly became a big part of her life. With a background in cheer and dance, xoxo, Vicky O works to fuse different styles with pole dance to create unique routines. Her favorite thing about pole dancing is that it encourages her to constantly challenge herself and push herself to new heights.

My Pole Playlist

I love music. As a dancer, I'm always looking for those "diamond in the rough" songs that inspire me to create routines. Here are a few of my favorite songs to pole to!

It all started when…

I have wanted to get involved in pole/aerial arts ever since I went to the Cirque du Soleil Michael Jackson Immortal Tour and saw the most amazing pole dance routine to Michael Jackson’s β€œDangerous”. As I sat in awe, I told myself that one day I would learn how to do the things that the performer was doing. A few years later, I took my first pole class and fell in love!

Why Pole?

I have been poling since Summer 2015. I come from a cheer/dance background, so pole has been a huge change for me. My favorite thing about pole is that it encourages me to challenge myself and do things that I'm not supposed to be able to do. Recently, I have gained an even deeper appreciation for pole, because it has forced me to learn how to be patient with myself and celebrate every win, no matter how big or small. I always leave class feeling on top of the world each and every time I hit a new trick. Poling has brightened my life because it gives me a goal to work towards and provides me an escape from the stress of every day life.
